Treks & Local Guides

Treks from the farm, led by local guides

Mardi Himal, Annapurna Base Camp and village routes — planned, permitted and guided by the family that hosts you.

Annapurna trekking from Pokhara, starting at your farm gate

Lemon Agro Farm sits 30 minutes from the trailheads that feed the whole Annapurna range. Wake up here, walk out of the orchard, and be on the Mardi Himal ridge or the road to Ghandruk by mid-morning. Every trek below is run by guides from Fulbari, and every plan ends back at the farm with a hot shower waiting.

Mardi Himal trek, Pokhara

The Mardi Himal trek: five days on the ridge

The Mardi Himal trek is the quiet cousin of the big Annapurna routes — a sharp climb from Sidhing through rhododendron forest to Low Camp and High Camp, then a bare ridge-walk that ends facing Machhapuchhre at 4,500 metres. Five walking days, one sunrise you will not forget, and far fewer people on the trail than ABC.

Difficulty is moderate: long uphill days but no technical ground, and our guides set a pace with extra tea breaks built in. We drive you to the trailhead after breakfast, meet you at the exit, and bring you straight back to the farm for dinner.

Annapurna Base Camp farm package

Annapurna Base Camp from our farm in Pokhara

The Annapurna Base Camp trek drops you into the middle of the range — up through Chhomrong and bamboo forest, past Machhapuchhre Base Camp, and into a natural amphitheatre ringed by Annapurna I at 8,091 metres. Seven to ten days depending on whether you add Poon Hill, Jhinu hot springs or an extra acclimatisation morning.

It is the classic Annapurna trekking route from Pokhara for good reason: teahouses every few hours, steady trails, and a view at the top that does most of the talking. We handle transport, permits, porters and daily check-ins so you only carry a daypack.

Local trekking guide, Pokhara

What a local guide from Pokhara actually changes

Anyone can sell you a permit and a bus ticket. A guide who grew up in these hills decides when to leave, which teahouse has a fire going, when the weather is turning on the ridge, and how fast you should really be climbing on day two.

Our team is from Fulbari and the villages along the Annapurna trails. That means the people carrying your plans also live at the end of them.

Permits handled before you land

ACAP and TIMS are arranged in Pokhara the day before you leave, so no morning is lost to a counter queue.

Porter coordination that is actually fair

We hire porters at published daily rates with proper loads, insurance and time off — never undercut the people carrying your bag.

Village homestays, not just teahouses

Where the trail allows it, you sleep and eat in the homes of families we have known for years in the Annapurna hills.

Local knowledge and fair pay

Guides are paid a steady wage plus tips that stay in Fulbari, so your trek keeps money flowing into the valley that hosts you.

Two documents cover every route we run in the Annapurna region. We buy them for you in Pokhara, photograph them for your records, and carry the copies on the trail. Rates are set by the Nepal Tourism Board and NTNC, and we confirm the current figures at booking.

Post-trek farm recovery

Recover on the farm after the Annapurna trails

The walk down is not the end of the trek — the two days after it are when your body decides how you remember the mountains. Come back to your farm room instead of a loud lakeside hostel, and let the lemon orchard do the rest.

Rest days with no agendaSleep late, stretch on the yoga deck, and let legs recover on a farm that asks nothing of you.
Organic food that refills youDal bhat, seasonal greens and citrus from the orchard — cooked fresh after days of teahouse noodles.
Hot showers and soft bedsSolar hot water, ensuite rooms and a balcony over the lemon grove to watch the range you just walked.
